Kimmage Development Studies Centre

Since its foundation in 1974, Kimmage DSC has facilitated education and training for development professionals working in a range of occupations from over 65 countries worldwide.

Programmes are run at undergraduate (BA) and postgraduate (MA and Graduate Diploma) levels in Development Studies, with options to study on a full-time or part-time basis. Courses provide hands-on practical training whilst also affording participants the opportunity to become fully familiar with relevant theories of development.

The BA Degree in Development Studies programme is also run through the MS-TCDC Centre in Arusha, Tanzania. For further information contact:

D-talk 

D-talk (Development Training and Learning @ Kimmage) is an exciting programme of training and learning for development workers in Irish-registered NGO and missionary organisations. Established in 2005, Dtalk is dedicated to promoting a culture of learning and knowledge sharing through training within the International Development Sector in Ireland. Since inception, Dtalk has been supported by Irish Aid.

Dtalk provides a wide range of short-term courses (1-4 days in duration) covering an extensive range of topics. These topics cover everything from Initial Preparation for Working in the South to Understanding HIV and Community Responses to all aspects of management (Proposal Writing, Logical Framework Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation and Financial Management) to Sustainable Livelihoods, Advocacy, Creative Facilitation, International Humanitarian Law, etc.
